A 75-year-old woman on warfarin with sudden-onset occipital headache, who subsequently developed severe back pain with lower limb hyperreflexia

A 22-month-old boy with developmental delay since birth and episodes of seizures, extreme irritability, and unexplained fever since the age of 18 months. Only child of nonconsanguineous parents. Neurologic examination showed axial hypotonia, hyperreflexia, and mild microcephaly. CSF showed mild chronic lymphocytosis and normal glucose and protein levels.

A 5-month-old boy brought by his parents to the clinic for evaluation of bilateral leukokoria. Examination revealed bilateral retrolental masses. His elder brother was also blind by birth and developed hearing loss at the age of 12 years. His 2 elder sisters were completely normal.
